Solutions Manager – Home Based with UK Travel
Location: Home Based with UK Travel

Working within our Technology Services Outsourcing Division we require a Solutions Manager to lead on all aspects of Solutions work. This will include sales, service design and continuous improvement. You will work with internal and external partners to continuously develop the target Operating Model (TOM) and associated transformation work packages.

Project Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with and supporting the Business Development team in all aspects of business development relating to Outsourcing opportunities.
  • Continuous development and improvement of the Target Operating Model. Capturing best practice internally / externally and constantly innovating to improve the TOM and approach to transformation.
  • Owning the solution design for specific new business and contract renewal opportunities, including commercial, technical, and operational aspects which meet requirements
  • Participating and leading bid dialogue sessions with potential clients and partners, being the focal point for Technology Services new and extension opportunities.
  • Provide content and present Solutions at internal opportunity/bid reviews.
  • Provide operational input into bid documentation, including writing bid content, building bid cost and DD templates, working with the Divisional Solutions and Service Design Director and Finance team to build bid cost models and contract schedules.
  • Leading on Technology Services Desk Based Assessments, Opportunity Assessments and Due Diligence.
  • Owning the operational relationship with potential Technology Services clients until operations management for that contract is in place.
  • Assist with the development of hand over and transformation plans for the take on of a client by the dedicated operational management team for the contract.
  • Undertaking transformation project work both in terms of solution design / ownership and where required hands on delivery of transformation in support of new Outsourcing Partnerships
  • Leading on developing new solutions and improvements to existing operations.


Required Skills:

  • Experienced in producing high quality solution / bid documentation and developing accurate cost models and solutions to tight deadlines
  • Extensive domain knowledge and network of contacts
  • Strong presentation and negotiation abilities at all levels
  • Innovator with proven ability to convert ideas into action – translating and influencing customer requirements into detailed solutions which also meet commercial/budget constraints
  • Excellent and proven ability to influence customers and partners and build strong relationships
  • Knowledge and experience of UK Public Sector and the Technology Services market.
  • Proven transformation and project delivery skills
  • Sales and business development expertise and experience
