Courts can simplify day-to-day processes with new electronic citation technology

As the need to maintain and improve services, while spending less, increases for courts across Ohio, utilizing today’s technology to drive effective day-to-day processes becomes progressively more important. Authority eCitation can accomplish this goal.

Authority eCitation creates new court cases by connecting the court to the local post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol to allow the electronic submission of citations issued by patrolmen to be imported into the court’s case management system as new cases.

Streamlining this process not only saves time for both court and public safety officials, it increases the accuracy and availability of citation information. And, since this is a paperless routing process, tickets will no longer have to be hand-delivered to courts. Oftentimes when new technology becomes available, it requires the purchase of new hardware. Such is not the case as Civica is able to host the secure connection between its court clients and the ODPS at its own in-house data center.
