Civica UPM ranked No.1 pensions administration software provider

Professional Pensions ranks Civica’s automated administration software number one in latest customer survey

Civica, a global leader in software for public services, has been ranked the No.1 pensions software provider in the latest Professional Pensions Administration Survey.

This year's survey gathered data from respondents in both the public and private sectors and across a range of different scheme types. The majority of respondents (80%) were responsible for defined benefit schemes, as well as defined contribution and group personal pension schemes.

Respondents ranked the importance of different factors including data accuracy, flexibility, customer service and technology.

More than 380 pension professionals in the UK took part in the recent online survey.

Helen Sparke, Business Development Director, Civica commented: “We’re delighted our customers value our partnership approach, and recognise our commitment to boosting efficiencies and improving member outcomes using technology.

“As a leading technology company, we look across sectors to see how we’ve successfully moved to digital-first platforms. This first-hand knowledge, combined with our continued investment to push boundaries with our Universal Pensions Management (UPM) solution, is truly helping our customers transform the way they work.”

Civica's UPM software helps customers automate processes, be compliant and reduce risk. The cloud-enabled software combines pension administration, intelligent workflow, document management and payroll. The software facilitates the management of defined benefit, defined contribution, career average revalued earnings and hybrid pension schemes. Its advanced workflow capabilities also mean that member and employer processing can take place via integrated web portals without any need for administrator intervention.

Civica provides pensions administration software and consultancy services across the private and public sector including local government, police and fire services. Customers include the Pension Protection Fund, Co-operative Group, Church of England Pensions Board, Hymans Robertson, Northern Ireland Teachers’ Pension Scheme, and many Local Authorities covering approximately 33% of LGPS membership.

The company was also recently awarded a place on the new National LGPS Procurement Framework for Pensions Administration Software. The company was one of only three providers selected due to its long-standing experience in public sector implementations, high quality software and innovative approach to delivering solutions.
