East Kent authorities appoint Civica to run shared services
East Kent Services (EKS) partners Canterbury City Council, Dover District Council and Thanet District Council have launched a new partnership with Civica, to operate shared front-facing citizen and business services for the three councils and save up to £5.3m.
The seven-year agreement, which includes the transfer of more than 230 employees to Civica, will protect vital services dealing with the collection, administration and enforcement of council tax and business rates, payment and administering of housing benefit, council tax support and dealing with queries from customers for the three councils.
What does this mean for OnDemand clients?
New experienced staff will be joining our team! Resulting in extra capacity to support you. All the staff who join the OnDemand service will have the same high levels of experience you expect from the OnDemand team.
Do you have any resource gaps to fill?
As the financial year draws to a close and you finalise plans for next year, you may want to plan ahead. Recent workshops we’ve held with customers on the impact of Universal Credit roll-out on workload indicate that there will be a spike in processing work next financial year. Our OnDemand team is on hand to discuss this and any other resource requirements, ranging from debt recovery and Single Person Discount monitoring though to ASC assessments and appeals.
