Civica acquires school management cloud software specialist Parago

Group extends suite of offerings in global education market with leading SaaS solutions

Civica, a global leader in software for public services, has acquired market leading school management Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider, Parago Software Limited and its subsidiary, Parago Software Inc.

Complementing Civica’s global presence in the education sector, Parago supports more than 2,000 education customers around the world. Its software helps to manage estates and assets and share resources between multiple sites.

The company has seen sustained year-on-year growth since founding in 2010, and assists the education sector to operate more efficiently, helping customers to stay compliant, manage contracts and prevent unnecessary expenditure via a comprehensive cloud software suite.

In line with the Group’s clear strategy and sector focus, the acquisition provides new capability to Civica’s broad education portfolio which includes financial management, education and resource management, parent payments, cashless catering, catering management and HR and payroll. Parago’s software suite and sector expertise will also benefit Civica’s existing asset management capability in housing and transport.

Based in Reading, Parago’s school asset management software comprises a range of modules managing IT and inventory, premises and compliance, and incident and workflow. The company’s existing customers include Oasis Community Learning Trust, REAch2 Academy Trust, Cambridge Meridian Academies Trust and Alleghany School District, North Carolina.
