Warwick International becomes Civica

Civica Group increases leadership in health and care cloud software with full integration of specialist SaaS provider

Civica, a global leader in software for public services has built on its leading cloud position and health care expertise with the full integration and rebrand of Warwick International.

Following Warwick’s acquisition in August 2019, the company has become an integral part of Civica’s cloud software, offering specialist occupational health and health & safety software and services to more than 200 customers globally. The company’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) supports organisations in their responsibility to keep employees’ health, safety and wellbeing top of the business agenda.

Via the full integration, Civica is strengthening its offering in workforce management, complementing recent acquisitions such as Trac recruitment software and Civica Engagement Solutions.

Civica now has extended capability in occupational health and health & safety, particularly in the health sector where more than 40 NHS trusts use its software, including University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust and Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. New customers since acquisition include Belfast City Council, BioMarin, Transport for London and UK Independent Medical.

The cloud native Civica OPAS Occupational health management software helps organisations record accurate data, to look beyond sickness absence rates and gain greater insights into the underlying causes of work-related health issues. This results in an improved team-working culture which increases productivity and reduces absenteeism and presenteeism to help organisations manage healthcare costs and support a healthier workforce.

The company’s eSAFETY Health & Safety management cloud software encourages employee engagement by reporting incidents and concerns; helping employers gain better understanding of risks and reduce hazards before they materialise into accidents.

Steve Brain, Executive Director, Health & Care, Civica said: “This latest integration builds on our position as a cloud leader in the marketplace, with the addition of these proven software solutions for the occupational health care sector. As we continue our investment in innovation and development, strengthened capability and expertise in workforce solutions will open up new market opportunities for the Group, allowing us to deliver increasing value to all customers.”

With a 30-year + track record in the health sector, Civica delivers software solutions to over 500 customers across the NHS and private care sector globally: from electronic prescribing and patient records to enhanced workforce efficiency. The company provides cloud delivery to more than 20,000 clinicians, facilitates the scanning of 150 million documents and images and processes £60bn of NHS funds annually.
