National change, local focus. Connecting our digital future

Join us on 15th and 16th January 2019 in Manchester to hear from experts and peers on the challenges facing the public sector in 2019 and how national change will impact at a local level and what this means for our digital futures.

The Forum will start on 15th with a drinks reception and dinner in Cloud23 – the restaurant on the 23rd floor.

On 16th, there will be an economy briefing session, followed by the first discussion group of the day. Then in the Civica Exchange plenary session you’ll hear from well-known commentator Rob Whiteman who will give a commentary on the changing landscape for public service provision as we start 2019. Then our expert keynote speaker Professor Jim Al-Khalili OBE, scientist, author and broadcaster, who will speak on the topic "National change, local focus – Connecting our digital future".

The keynote will be followed by a panel debate: Embracing digital disruption to deliver improved local outcomes. After the plenary session a networking lunch will take place in Cloud23.

In the afternoon, there will be a series of roundtable discussions on key themes, chaired by industry experts that will address key issues and topics. You can find details of the proposed themes here.

There will be plenty of time and opportunities to network and connect with more than 40 leaders from across the public sector during the Forum. Your hosts will be Wayne Story, our CEO and other key members of our Executive Leadership Team.

This event is specifically for public sector executives and is invitation only.
