TGICFT chooses Civica’s cloud-based software to reduce costs and help improve patient care

Trust selects Civica’s Managed CostMaster solution to enable end-to-end cost reporting from organisation level through to individual patients 

Civica, a market leader in business-critical software applications, digital solutions and managed services, has agreed a new contract with Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (TGICFT) for its cloud-based CostMaster solution.

The software will provide the ICFT with a clearer view of its cost data to better inform the board of the ICFT’s finances and identify where cost savings can be implemented.

TGICFT, which serves a community of 250,000 people across Tameside and Glossop, chose Civica’s Managed CostMaster service to achieve significant cost savings and efficiencies, lower IT risk and improve operational performance to better serve its patients.

The managed solution will help the ICFT make better use of resources relating to cost infrastructure and support. Implementing a management solution allows the IT department to focus on the support required for front line patient services for the ongoing support of the system.

Alongside providing clear, end-to-end cost reporting, the solution allows the ICFT to easily expand its processing power to meet its capacity needs; delivering best value in comparison to an on-premises server. By hosting information in a secure managed cloud environment, the ICFT is also better protected against physical and cyber threats, as well as meeting both business continuity and resilience requirements.
